Capture your assets direct from the floor

You can use the Marss app on a mobile device to capture your assets directly from your environment. This is perfect for an organisation at which there is no existing asset register. Simply walk around and attach pre-printed unique barcodes to each of your assets and then scan and capture them into the system. Go from ‘non-compliant’ to ‘fully compliant’ in no time.

View asset details instantly

You can use the Marss app on a mobile device to scan any item and instantly view the common and custom category properties, owner, location, category and full audit log history for that item. You can even view documentation, readings and perform quick actions directly from your mobile device. Changes are instantly updated to the asset register and history logs.

Manage archival of assets that are no longer required

Carefully manage the process of archiving or disposing assets from your register. Managers will be required to authorise disposals and ensure all relevant disposal information has been captured. Disposed assets and all associated data, logs and supporting documentation will remain available to you for historical reference.

Geo-tag asset locations

Have a lot of items scattered about your location. Using the mobile application you can easily geo-tag the asset by saving the co-ordinates into the asset record. This makes it much easier for service agents to find the asset even if its in the middle of an unmarked field or unmarked location.

Capture numerical readings

You can easily add reading properties to any category of asset. This allows you to capture routine readings for an asset such as water meter readings or odometer readings. These readings are maintained for each asset and can be viewed on a timeline.

Check in and out of locations

Our location based check in and check out processes allow you to maintain a historic overview of the movement of high value assets within your locations. Create rules and controls around which items are able to move into various locations. You can also restrict the amount of items permissible for check in to a location for health and safety compliance.

Perform physical asset verification

Use the mobile device to periodically perform a physical verification of all assets within your locations. You can easily take on unexpected asset additions found during your verification exercise, and even perform asset relocation for items found in unexpected locations.

Maintain milestone dates

Our asset milestone calendar consolidates all important dates into one calendar. See all asset service dates or warranty expiry dates for the upcoming month on one simple consolidated view. Keep on top of routine maintenance tasks or other action items for your asset base.

Import new additions

Marss provides various import templates to add new assets into the system. If you are expecting multiple items to arrive on order simply pre-capture them using our order import template.

Calculate accumulated depreciation

Use the depreciation input parameters to easily track the value of depreciation across your entire register. Manage useful life parameters for entire asset categories, or override for a specific asset. Explore non-compliant assets from the depreciation manager and easily update missing information such as the fair value or service date for an asset.

View items within a location

Quickly and easily determine what items are in each location of your environment. This allows for rapid location registers and ownership reporting. Location inventories for application behind an office door are also possible for accountability management. Suspect that something has gone missing from a location, pull up a location report and compare to the items you find in that location

Customised categories or classes

Our category hierarchy allows you to easily maintain a central classification system for all asset types across your organisation. Avoid different descriptions appearing at different locations. You can even define custom properties for each specific class of asset.

Advanced features

Marss has many advanced features for more demanding environments. For example you can use our picking list functionality for ensuring the correct items are selected for a job or works order. Another example is our asset packaging capabilities for managing the storage of inventory on or in other assets such as pallets, stillages, boxes, crates or other containers.

Inventory stock management

Easily track your stock levels by managing the inbound and outbound movement of inventory from your organisation. If you move stock between locations our inventory transfer process will manage the incremental and decremental stock processing.
